OVERVIEW

Texas Fencing Academy is a two weapons academy : epee and saber.

TFA conducts structured fencing classes for kids, youth and adults as well as individual private fencing lessons. Composed of levels from introduction and beginners to competitive fencers, each level develops:

  • Physical conditioning and endurance
  • Fencing skills, such as foot and blade work
  • Social and sportsmanship skills
  • Self control, confidence and mental strength
  • Agility, eye-hand-foot control and balance
  • Ability to understand and direct a fencing bout
  • Strategic and tactical skills
  • Competitive performance

TFA offers a variety of online and in-person classes.

We offer four programs to our fencers :

Fencing Introduction Month includes access to all our zoom classes for you to discover the joy of fencing.

Team fencers make more of a time commitment and usually, they have already narrowed their focus to a specific weapon and plan on competing in tournaments. Team fencers are expected to attend all the instructor-led classes on zoom, two one hour instructor-led at the salle, and register to one open fencing pod.

Adult Open Fencing Pod is for adults to fence at our salle. After registering, contact the coach or staff in charge of the pod of your choice through the TFA team app.

Our program contains the following classes:

IN-PERSON Classes
